English language classes for adults take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the year at the Multi-Cultural Center. Trained
instructors proved by Southeast Technical Institute's Learning Center help
students to increase both conversational and written language skills.
Participants are able to attend classes scheduled in six-week sessions.
The Multi-Cultural Center encourages immigrants and refugees to hold onto their
native languages and customs, but also to learn the English language in order to
better adjust and thrive in the community. Classes are free of charge.
